Es folgt das offizielle Statement von Reason Gaming:

This news has been along time coming, many people may already be aware that we effectively ceased operations 3 or so months ago, but today we make the regretable news official, that Reason Gaming will shut down.

There are several reasons behind this, but the main one is because we simply couldn't secure any funding from sponsors or elsewhere. Since our contract with Razer ended in February, and even prior to this, we have approached numerous companies about the possibility of sponsoring Reason Gaming, but sadly the support they were able to offer is simply not enough to continue operating how we have been in the last 3-4 years, in the higher echelon of eSports. Another factor is that Adam Godfrey and I simply don't have the spare time needed to run a succesful organisation anymore, and have both unfortunately lost interest in eSports.

Reason Gaming was formed back in February 2005, where we started off with UK based CS:S and CoD2 teams. Slowly but surely we grew and grew as an organisation and managed to attract new sponsors and teams, to a point where our Czech/Slovakian CS:S team ruled the roost and were Europes undisputed #1 team for a long time. In more recent years we changed with the times and recruited LoL, HoN and Dota2 teams. Our players have competed at tournaments all over the world such as the CPL World Tour, Intel Extreme Masters, World Cyber Games, ESWC, Quakecon, Dreamhack and many more.

Although there are hundreds of players and staff who have been invovled with Reason over the the last 7 years, I would like to thank the following people who have, along the years, been great servants to the organisation: Hk2, Javier, Nordy, Jehan, PhP, UN, Guardian, pR, sneix, Lighters, Duffer, Revoltz, D1ablo, SoCLoN, kammyz, giftig, FeTiSh, realition, BigDave, Marteh, Core and all our loyal fans.

So that's it, the end of an era.
